Back up, restore or delete a project

Download a backup of a project, bring it back later, or delete a project for good.

Each project card on the Projects page has a ⋯ button in its top-right corner. It opens a menu with Export backup, Import backup and Delete project.

Export a backup

Press Export backup. ArchviewVR puts the whole project into one .zip file and downloads it: the renders, model, levels, hotspots and their pictures, the brand kit and its files, and the tour options. Keep it somewhere safe.

The backup doesn’t include visits, enquiries, the share link, the password or billing.

Tip: a big project can take a few minutes to download. Keep the tab open until it finishes.

Import a backup as a new project

Press Import at the top of the Projects page and choose a backup file. It becomes a new trial project with everything from the backup. Publish it when you’re ready to share it.

Replace a project with a backup

Choose Import backup from a project’s ⋯ menu and pick the backup file. ArchviewVR tells you which project the backup came from and when it was made, then asks you to confirm.

  1. Its renders, model, levels, hotspots, brand kit and settings are replaced with the backup’s.
  2. The project’s name, share link, billing and password stay as they are.
  3. A published tour updates straight away.

Warning: replacing can’t be undone. Export a backup of the project first if you might want it back.

Delete a project

Choose Delete project from the ⋯ menu, type the project’s name to confirm and press Delete project. The project and everything in it is deleted: renders, model, hotspots, brand kit files, settings, visits and enquiries. It can’t be undone.

A published project has a monthly subscription, so it can’t be deleted straight away. Cancel its subscription in Billing first (see Change your card or cancel). Once the subscription ends, the tour pauses and you can delete the project.

Only the studio owner can delete a project.
