Choose the start view
Pick the render and direction buyers see first, and the way the tour opens.
The start view is where buyers begin: which render they stand at and which way they face. Until you set one, the tour opens at the first render.
Set the start view
- Open the setup screen. In your project, go to Set up tour in the sidebar, then Start location.
- Find the view. Drag in the preview on the left to look around and move to the best spot. The preview is the tour as buyers see it.
- Face the best view. Turn until the shot you want first is in the middle of the screen.
- Use it. Press Use what I’m looking at. The card above the buttons shows the room (or render name) and the direction, for example Facing 140°.
- Save. Press Save at the top right.

Tip: you need to be standing in a room, not in the 3D plan. If you see Go into a room first, then use the view, leave the 3D plan and try again.
Go back to it
Press Go to start to jump the preview back to the saved start view. It’s handy for checking it after you’ve walked around.
Choose how the tour opens
Under Open the tour in, pick Walk, Hop or 3D plan. Buyers start in that mode.
Only the ways to move you’ve turned on in Tour options are in the list. If you turn off the one the tour opens in, it switches to the first one still on.
Good to know
- The start view stays when you replace renders, as long as its render is still in the tour.
- On a published tour, saving updates the live tour straight away. The note beside Save says Saved. The live tour is updated.
