Replace or add renders later
Drop only the files that changed. Your room names, hotspots, start view and options stay as they are.
Re-rendered a room, added a view or fixed the model? You don’t need to start again. Drop just the new files into the project.
Steps
- Open the project. On the project page press Replace renders.
- Drop the changed files. The drop area says Drop new or updated files here. Drop only what changed, or the whole folder.
- Check and save. The files are read as usual. Press Continue to check, look at anything flagged, then press Accept and save.
What happens to each file
| You drop | What happens |
|---|---|
| A render with the same name as a saved one | It replaces the saved render. Its room name, start view and visit stats stay with it. |
| A render with a new name | It’s added. It needs a camera of the same name in a points file. |
| A new model | It replaces the saved model. Levels are measured again. |
| A new points file | Its positions are used for the renders it names. |
| Nothing for a saved render | The saved render is kept as it is. |
Without a new model or points file, the saved ones are used. The Model step says Keeping the saved model.
Tip: names match without caring about capitals, so Kitchen_01.jpg replaces kitchen_01.jpg.
Remove renders
On the check step, renders you didn’t drop are marked Kept. To take them out of the tour, tick Remove the … saved renders not in this drop before you press Accept and save. So to remove one render, drop every render except that one and tick the box.
Published tours
Saving updates the live tour straight away, on the same link. Buyers see the new renders next time they open it.
Warning: a new render needs its camera in the points file you drop. Without one it’s marked Not used. Export the points again with the new camera selected.
What stays the same
- Hotspots, room names and level names (when the number of levels is the same).
- The start view, as long as its render is still in the tour. Otherwise the tour starts at the first render.
- Everything in Options and your brand kit.
