Password and end date
Make a tour private with a password, or set a last day after which it stops opening.
Both settings are in your project under Set up tour, then Options, in the Access section. They only affect the published tour. Your own previews in the dashboard always open without a password.
Add a password
- Type a password in Password. The note underneath changes to Saved with the tour. Buyers will need it to open the tour.
- **Press Save** at the top right. On a published tour you’ll see Saved. The live tour is updated.
Buyers now see your loading screen and logo with This tour is private, a password box and Open the tour. They aren’t asked again if they reload in the same browser tab. The link, embeds and kiosk screens all ask for the password.
Tip: ArchviewVR only keeps a scrambled copy of the password, so it can’t show it to you later. Keep a note of it, or set a new one if you forget.
Change or remove it
- Change it: the box says Password set · type a new one to change it. Type the new one and press Save. The old one stops working, and anyone with the tour open is asked for the new one next time they load it.
- Remove it: press Remove next to the box, then Save. Anyone with the link can open the tour again.
Wrong passwords
A wrong password shows how many tries are left. After 5 wrong tries in 15 minutes, the buyer sees Too many tries. Wait 15 minutes, then try again.
Set a last day to view
- Pick a date in Last day to view.
- **Press Save.**
The tour opens until the end of that day, by the buyer’s own clock. After that it shows This tour is no longer available. Your renders and setup are kept. To bring it back, pick a later date or press Clear, then Save.
Warning: an end date doesn’t stop billing. The project is still charged $29 AUD a month until you cancel it. See Change your card or cancel.
