The tour looks blurry

Why a tour can look soft, and how to get the sharpest picture where buyers stop.

2 min readUpdated 4 Oct 2026

While buyers move, the tour uses a smaller copy of each render so it stays smooth: 2K wide on computers, 1K on phones and tablets. When they stop at a render, a sharper copy loads. Most soft-looking tours come down to that swap.

Symptoms

1. Buyers are moving, or between renders

This is normal. The sharper copy only loads when a buyer stops at a render, not while walking, hopping or between two renders. Stand still at a render for a moment and it sharpens.

To see it happen, tick Render loading under the preview on the project page. A ring turns orange while the sharper copy downloads, then green. See Check tools on the project page.

2. Picture quality is set low

In your project, open Set up tour, then Options, and check Picture quality:

Press Save when you’re done. See Picture quality and phones.

3. The renders are small

The tour can’t be sharper than your renders. A render 4K wide or smaller looks the same on Balanced and Sharpest, and a 2K render never gets sharper at all.

Fix: render at a bigger 2:1 size, such as 8000 × 4000, then press Replace renders and drop them. Same names keep their rooms and hotspots. Full-size renders are kept up to 8192 pixels wide, so going wider doesn’t help. See Rendering 360° with Corona.

4. It’s a phone

Phones use smaller pictures while moving, and with Sharpest they get Balanced instead if Use Balanced on phones is ticked. That’s on purpose: full-size renders can make phones crash and reload the tour. Some phones and computers also can’t show a full-size render and use the biggest size they can handle.

We recommend leaving Use Balanced on phones ticked. See The tour won’t load on a phone.

5. The sharper copy is still loading

On a slow connection a large render can take a while. The ring stays orange and the list shows the %. Smaller full-size renders load faster: see Big or slow uploads for keeping file sizes down.

Tip: zooming in a long way makes any render look soft. Check sharpness at the normal view first.
