What's new
The latest changes to ArchviewVR, and where things have moved.
October 2026
Depth maps
Add a CZDepth pass (EXR) for each render and furniture keeps its shape as buyers walk between renders. Standing on a render still shows it exactly as rendered. See Depth maps.
- No model file? Drop renders, the points file and the EXRs, and ArchviewVR makes the model from the depth maps, fused into one clean surface. See Upload your folder.
- Mesh detail and clean-up in Options → Depth maps, with a line showing what they did and Show what clean-up removes in the preview’s check tools.
- The Toolkit (version 2.3) renders the depth maps for you: Render depth maps on its Render tab, with glass hidden. See The ArchviewVR Toolkit.
Where things are now
| Before | Now |
|---|---|
| Replace renders and Adjust renders on the project page | One Renders button: Add or replace renders, Adjust scale and headings |
| Tour link, embed, display suite link and QR in separate rows | Share the tour, with Link, Embed, Kiosk and QR code tabs |
| Set up tour: Start location, Rooms, Levels, Alternate panoramas | Rooms and levels, Start view, Finishes |
| Brand kit: seven sections | Look, Loading screen, Extras (music, take home and kiosk) |
| Enquiry settings in Brand kit, enquiries under Analytics | Their own Enquiries page, with new ones counted in the sidebar |
| A long list in Options | Groups that fold, each saying what it’s set to |
| Check tools in Options | Check tools above the preview |
| Team and Billing always in the sidebar | Billing shows once the project is published; Team comes back when it’s ready |
Smaller changes
- Trials with more than 10 renders ask before saving: publish and keep them all, or save the first 10 as a trial. See Trial vs published tours.
- Enquiries can be marked read, filtered to the new ones and downloaded as a spreadsheet. See See and download enquiries.
- Measuring on a model made from depth maps shows a small note that distances are approximate. See Measuring in a tour.
- The step bar (Details, Upload, Check, Set up, Publish) shows until a project is published, then the sidebar does the job.
